PPG acquires South African automotive refinish distributor Ducol Coatings
PPG Industries today announced that it has acquired the business of Ducol Coatings South Africa (PTY) Ltd., which has served as an importer and distributor of PPG’s automotive refinish products in South Africa since 2003. Financial terms were not disclosed.

PPG Dover awards scholarships to three local high school seniors
The PPG Industries Foundation has awarded a PPG Plant Community Scholarship to Kathleen Hartung, a senior at Caesar Rodney High School, and two PPG Employee-Child Scholarships to Megan Hershberger, daughter of PPG employee Brenda Hershberger and a senior at Caesar Rodney High School, and Ron W. Rider Jr., son of PPG employee Ron Rider Sr. and a senior at St. Thomas More Academy.

PPG, NSF inform health inspectors on risks with generic chlorine tablet use
As commercial and community pools across the nation prepare for summer, NSF International and the ACCU-TAB(R) system commercial pool water treatment group of PPG Industries are working to inform aquatic health inspectors and pool owners and operators about the importance of using properly certified chlorine tablets with systems.

PPG to purchase European coatings company Dyrup
PPG Industries today announced the signing of a share purchase agreement to acquire Dyrup A/S, a European coatings company based in Copenhagen, Denmark, from its owner, Monberg & Thorsen, a public holding company.

PPG completes acquisition of chlor-alkali manufacturer Equa-Chlor
PPG Industries today announced that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of certain assets of Equa-Chlor, Inc., a producer of chlorine, caustic soda and muriatic acid, based in Longview, Wash. The transaction value was approximately $27 million.
