PPG directors announce quarterly dividend increase to 57 cents per share
The board of directors of PPG Industries today approved a two cents-per-share increase in the company’s dividend, declaring a regular quarterly dividend of 57 cents per share, payable June 10 to shareholders of record May 10.

PPG to acquire chlor-alkali manufacturer Equa-Chlor
PPG Industries today announced that it has reached an agreement to purchase certain assets of Equa-Chlor, Inc., a producer of chlorine, caustic soda and muriatic acid. Equa-Chlor, a privately-held company with 65 employees, maintains its singular manufacturing site and business headquarters in Longview, Wash.

PPG donates $25,000, pledges $5,000 more to Cleveland Zoological Society
The PPG Industries Foundation has donated $25,000 to the Cleveland Zoological Society’s capital campaign for the African Elephant Crossing exhibit at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, set to open May 5, and the foundation also has pledged $5,000 to support the zoo’s educational access programming in 2011.
