PPG, innovators in paints, coatings, and specialty materials, today announced it will sponsor the Omega European Masters Golf Championship. Under the agreement, PPG will have branding rights for the entire Swiss stop on the professional men’s golf European tour.

PPG brightens and restores youth center in Wyandotte County, Kansas
PPG today announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ project in Kansas City, Kansas, to revitalize State Street Project, a youth empowerment center in Wyandotte County. In addition, the PPG Foundation donated $20,000 to fund a 10-week summer science, technology, engineering and math program for up to 100 inner-city students.

PPG reaches agreement with Nippon Electric Glass for sale of remaining fiberglass operations
PPG today announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to sell its remaining fiberglass operations to Nippon Electric Glass Co. Ltd. (NEG), a leading manufacturer of fiberglass. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2017, subject to customary closing conditions. Pre-tax proceeds from the sale are approximately $545 million, and are subject to customary closing adjustments.
