PPG completes COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project at primary school in Kecskemét, Hungary
PPG recently completed a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ project in Kecskemét, Hungary, that helped revitalize the learning environment of the Corvin Mátyás primary school. The Colorful Communities program provides PPG volunteers and products along with financial contributions to bring color and vitality to communities where the company operates around the world, such as in Kecskemét, where the PPG automotive service team operates with 33 employees.

PPG Announces Executive Appointments
PPG today announced two executive appointments, effective immediately.

Roald Johannsen will become vice president, automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) coatings, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Jérôme Zamblera will become vice president, automotive refinish, EMEA, and director, environment, health and safety (EHS), EMEA.

Heminger joins PPG board of directors
PPG today announced that Gary R. Heminger, chairman and CEO of Marathon Petroleum Corporation, has been elected to join its board of directors, effective immediately. He will serve on the PPG board’s audit committee and its nominating and governance committee.

PPG directors approve 13-percent dividend increase to 45 cents per share
PITTSBURGH, July 20, 2017 – The board of directors of PPG today approved a 5-cents-per-share increase in the company’s dividend, declaring a regular quarterly dividend of 45 cents per share, payable Sept. 12 to shareholders of record Aug. 10. PPG’s last quarterly dividend increase was 11 percent, in the second quarter of 2016.

PPG to acquire coatings application services provider The Crown Group
PPG  today announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire The Crown Group, a U.S.-based coatings application services business, from High Road Capital Partners and Charter Oak Capital Partners. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter 2017, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

PPG Completes COLORFUL COMMUNITIES Project in Switzerland at Rolle Castle Park
PPG announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ project in Rolle, Switzerland, that brought color to a local park and playground used by area residents and tourists visiting Rolle Castle. The Colorful Communities program provides PPG volunteers and products along with financial contributions to bring color and vitality to communities where the company operates around the world, such as in Rolle, where PPG has its European headquarters.

PPG and PPG Foundation contribute $7.5 million for PPG Science Pavilion in Pittsburgh
PPG and the PPG Foundation today announced contributions to Carnegie Science Center of Pittsburgh totaling $7.5 million. The largest donation in the center's history is earmarked for a new building that will be named the PPG Science Pavilion. PPG completes COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project in Quattordio, Italy
PPG announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ project that helped revitalize the exterior wall of its automotive OEM coatings facility in Quattordio, Italy. The project was part of the Quattordio Urban Art event, which is an artistic journey of “graffiti” presented by famous artists on 11 walls in the village.

PPG Foundation grant helps New Hope kindergarten students explore careers
The PPG industrial coatings plant in Mount Vernon, Illinois, recently helped New Hope School in nearby Fairfield secure a $1,000 Innovative Classroom Grant from the PPG Foundation to fund career exploration projects related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Dan Prible, materials manager at the Mount Vernon plant, sponsored the grant for Debbie Webb, a kindergarten teacher at the school.
