MOUNT ZION, Ill., Feb. 23, 2011 – Employees at PPG Industries’ (NYSE:PPG) glass manufacturing plant in Mt. Zion helped to obtain $2,000 in grants through the PPG Industries Foundation for local organizations where they served on boards in 2010. The employee-requested grants were obtained through a foundation program called Grant Incentives for Volunteerism by PPG Employees and Retirees (GIVE), which recognizes employee and retiree volunteer efforts with annual grants of $500 for an ongoing volunteer relationship or $1,000 for serving on an organization's board of directors.

In 2010, PPG Mt. Zion employee Brett Easterling obtained a $1,000 grant for service to Boy Scouts of America, Troop 104, and employee Bryan Foster obtained a $1,000 grant for service to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Macon County.
